Wolves are highly endangered in many locations around the world. Many species are now extinct and near-extinction. We've turned animals that once roamed free into captives for life. Protected wolves not knowing man's boundaries slaughtered. It's a highly controversial issue with predator and human conflict. It was being at the right place, right time. Early morning on Blue Cypress Lake in Florida, looking for Osprey and out of the corner of my eye I see this white flash! Oil Spills and Minnesota State Bird
The Deep Horizon Oil Spill that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico almost proved fatal to thousands of birds known as the Minnesota Loon - and the official State Bird for the State of Minnesota. Because the Loons travel to the Gulf for mating purposes and are known for deep diving for their food, ingestion of the oil residue left behind after the oil spill was cause for massive concern by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Here I was chasing Osprey since my beloved Eagles had pretty much migrated on and I was needing a raptor fix.
